How to set up PetNid ID

Download PetNid
Create or open your dog or cat's profile in the free app.

Tap the tag
Choose “Pet ID & Tag” in the app and link the tag to the right pet.

Complete the page
Add details that can help a finder and choose which contact information is visible.

Attach and test
Put the tag on a collar or harness, then perform a test scan.
PetNid ID is not a GPS tracker. It does not continuously track your pet — it lets you know when someone scans the tag.

Frequently asked questions
Does the tag have GPS?
No. PetNid ID does not track location in the background. When someone scans the tag, you may receive an approximate scan area, and the finder can voluntarily share a more precise location.
Does the finder need the app?
No. Your pet's page opens in a regular browser after an NFC tap or QR scan.
Does the tag need charging or a subscription?
No. The tag has no battery, and the core PetNid ID service is free. You pay only for the physical tag — there is no subscription required to keep the public pet page and private finder contact active.
Who sells and ships the product?
PetNid provides the digital service and app. The physical tag will be sold and shipped by an independent seller through Allegro; their details and purchase terms will appear directly in the listing.
